Horus!
A raptor on the sidewalk wounded
opens his beak with no cry,
his two brave eyes disks of light.
1
Andromeda is a hawk's eye
In the firmament.
Binocular!
2
The zenith of truth falcons fly
Though one is maimed below
I witness.
3
Anointed by a bike crash,
My head by helmet saved,
Horus the executor this hawk
I so bereave.
4
Signal to me hawk.
Make my being spectacular
As your flight is.
5
Soar for the zenith
Once more my hawk.
You shall fly through me.
6
Horus, disk-eyed, deliver
This. Help me wing
Your vision over men.
